  • so new research by Cambridge University is now shown that the our raid here throughout Britain has plunged, and currently in London, it's now as low as 0.61 and as low as 0.64 here in the Southeast.

  • Now what is the our number?

  • Quick refresher rate?

  • Um, when it's above one, the disease is apparently spreading.

  • When it's below one, it's contracting.

  • And so my argument is, if the government uses that number to lock down entire cities, as you can see behind me and it's way below one, then why aren't we opening up?

  • Why aren't our schools opening?

  • At least?

  • Why can't we start some semblance of business back?

  • Eso?

  • That's my big question throughout the country.

  • It is now below one, which means to me it's time to stop the panic and to start bringing back some of these really important services like our gyms, which you're only responsible for 1.7% of Kobe transmissions and responsible for us preserving our mental and physical health, bring back the schools as well on bring back some of these other measures, maybe even hospitality venues.

  • There were always Onley responsible for 3% of transmissions.

  • This could game change everything.

  • It could kick start the economy if you get people back in a safe way, and I'm sure they could still keep there are number below one.

  • Let's see what happens if they don't start doing these measures, then I would argue, What's the point?

  • And some of these lockdowns don't seem to be based on science, not that they ever were.

  • And again, they're not a proportionate response to the virus.

  • Again, we've got to protect those elderly and those most vulnerable.

  • But if this is really true, why aren't we opening back up?

  • Why not get our kids back in school?

  • This extreme national lock down has lasted too long and again the whole point of the tier system.

  • Or so we could have a proportionate response to the virus.

  • As in, If this city like London is 0.61 are then we should be able to open it up, whereas in the north, if it's 1.1, then maybe they decide to wait a little bit.

  • That was the whole point of a tier system because it was a proportionate response to the virus that seems to have been for gotten because they seem very obsessed with these national lockdowns.

  • For what reason?

  • I cannot imagine, since it's literally crippling us, crushing us, scarring our economy.

  • Ruining are the future of our younger generation, etcetera.

  • So please leave your comments below.

  • Do you think we need to get our kids back in the schools?

  • Do you think we need to open up gyms?

  • I do.

  • You think we need to find some way to get London back to work?

  • That's one of my prime policies as your next mayor of London.

  • We can do it.

  • We can find ways to do it way.

  • Just need to be innovative.

  • That's all on.

  • We can't just say lock down, lock down, lock down because that's the only solution from our politicians.

  • So leave your comments below.

  • Let's, uh, make 2020 2021 a year.

  • That's gonna mean something I still think we can.
