Several great apes at the San Diego Zoo have tested positive for Cove in 19 asymptomatic, the California Zoo.

Officials say the animals were tested after two of them began showing signs of the disease.

They say this is the first known time the virus has spread to great apes.

The animals may have been infected from a zoo worker who is a symptomatic of co vid 19.

Asymptomatic describes anyone who has a disease but shows no signs of the sickness.

Asymptomatic individuals may not know they have an infectious disease and are spreading it to others.
