your Democratic right to vote on This is something that in in our our, you know, G 20 nations around the world we often times take for granted voting.
-
I was busy that day.
-
I'll get around to it.
-
It's my votes Not gonna matter.
-
The truth is many countries in the world they do not have a democratic process that works.
-
We do in this country.
-
But it only works if you vote.
-
Let me give you a statistic.
-
Of the nine million citizens in London on Lee, 5.7 million of those air actually registered to vote.
-
Can you imagine?
-
All you have to be is a resident of London.
-
That's it.
-
You have to be a citizen of the UK out of those 5.7.
-
Do you know how many actually voted for the last mayoral race?
-
Just over 2.5 million.
-
That's it.
-
That's a small percentage less than a third of the total number of citizens here.
-
So if we can get people to register to vote the people that believe in these new ideas, we can win this race on.
-
That's why we've created this incredible new website called Vote first.
-
And if you go right now to vote first dot London within 300 seconds?
-
Yes, that's five minutes.
-
You can register to vote.
-
You'll get a letter in the post and you'll be ready to go on May 6 to vote for your next mayor of London or wherever you are in the country.
-
You can vote in your local elections.
-
It's very important to exercise the democratic process because if you don't vote, then you are basically giving up your chance to decide the people that represent your views.
-
They represent you and how your future is gonna be the future of your business, your health, your Children, their education.
-
And if you choose to opt out of that process well, guess what.
-
For the next three years, you have tow own that decision because you were complicit and whoever got elected.
-
This is not the time to sit on the sidelines.
-
Register now, share this website with your friends, make sure they're ready to vote.
-
This is probably the only way we can win.
