Here's how to make a discord server in this video will cover the essentials of building and running your server.

Navigate to the dashboard.

Next, choose to start a blank template or use the preset.

For this tutorial, we'll start with a blank click.

Create my own choose of its for a club community or for friends in this case will click for me and my friends.

Give your server a name and click create to invite Friends Tears Server Click.

Invite your friends.

Discord will provide a link to your server that you can copy and sent to anyone you want to invite.

You can let this link stay active forever, or set it to expire after one day To create a text channel, click the plus button next to text channels on the left of the page.

Then you can name your channel here.

You can also decide between text and voice chat to create a category for our server.

Navigate to the channels tab on the left and right click select, create category categories or a way to further customized the permissions on specific channels.

Now we can give the category a name and confirm now it's time to create some roles, roles or permission levels you could grant to distinguish members, almonds, moderators and more.

Click the servers name at the top left of the screen and select server settings from the menu that appears Select roles from the list of options on the left.

At the top left click the plus button next to roles to create a new role.

We'll call this role admin.

From here, we can choose what abilities we want this role to allow.

Make sure the save changes before navigating away or assigning a role to give this newly created role toe a member right click.

They're using them in your server and select roles from the menu.

Then check the box next to your new role.
