- Why was that so hard?
-
Oh, God. (suspenseful music)
-
Okay, this isn't so bad.
-
(Q groans)
-
- Did I miss it?
-
What's up guys, I'm Q.
-
- And I'm Ellyse.
-
- And today, we're gonna be doing the US Army fitness test
-
with zero practice.
-
- None.
-
(Q laughs)
-
- So, the test consists of three exercises.
-
The first one is gonna be push-ups,
-
we'll have two minutes to do as many as we can
-
and there's gonna be no breaks.
-
- [Ellyse] Sit-ups, same thing.
-
As many reps as possible in two minutes.
-
- The final one is gonna be a two minute mile-
-
- Two minute mile? (record scratching)
-
(beep)
-
- [Q] The third and final exercise is a two- mile run.
-
So, we need a score of 50 per exercise to pass,
-
and if by some chance we get a 90 per exercise
-
we'll get an Army fitness badge, and that's pretty badass
-
if you ask me.
-
- Gonna go for that 50.
-
- Let's get it. - Yeah.
-
- [Ellyse] Okay, ready?
-
And you're going for 68 if you want that 90th percentile.
-
- [Q] Okay. - Okay.
-
Ready, set, go.
-
(rhythmic music)
-
- [Ellyse] Look at that form.
-
(Q laughs)
-
- Don't make me laugh, all right that's 10.
-
20?
-
- [Ellyse] That was 16 I counted.
-
- 16? (laughs)
-
Well. - [Ellyse] Come on keep going.
-
(rhythmic music) - It's starting to hurt.
-
- One more, one more. (laughing)
-
- [Ellyse] Oh my God, that shake.
-
You've got 10 seconds.
-
Do five more (laughs).
-
- I'm done, I can't do it.
-
(Q groans) (bell rings)
-
- You don't even know how hard that was.
-
- [Q] Five, four, three, two,
-
one, go. (rhythmic music)
-
No, that doesn't count.
-
- Oh God. (Q laughs)
-
I can't get back up. (Q laughs)
-
- [Q] Five, four, three,
-
two, one.
-
- Oh my God.
-
Oh my God.
-
Why was that so hard?
-
How many? (bell rings)
-
- [Q] There's a couple questionable ones in there.
-
- Oh, God.
-
- All right, that's the push-ups done,
-
now it's time for sit-ups.
-
- Five, four, three, two, go. (timer counting down)
-
(rhythmic music)
-
- Come one, keep going, what the hell.
-
(Q groans) (bell rings)
-
- [Ellyse] I think, did I get that right?
-
Didn't count?
-
Did you count? - [Q] My body, the sun.
-
There's so much going on. (Q breathing heavily)
-
- Five, four, three, two, (timer counting down)
-
one, go. (rhythmic music)
-
(bell rings)
-
- How much time?
-
- That was it.
-
Good job.
-
All right, guys. So, that was the push-ups and sit-ups.
-
We both passed.
-
- Now it's time for the two-mile run.
-
I'm not looking forward to this,
-
I don't feel good about it.
-
But, hey, let's go.
-
My plan is to pace myself, 10 minutes a mile,
-
that's what I'm going for. - Okay.
-
- I'm ready. - All right.
-
- One, two, three, go. (timer counting down)
-
(rhythmic music)
-
- I was actually feeling all right
-
(heavy breathing) and I'm like hey,
-
this isn't so bad.
-
And then I looked at the time, thinking it was like halfway
-
and it's been five minutes.
-
- Ellyse is running kind of fast right now,
-
like her pace is really good.
-
Oh my God, she's running a mark.
-
You got it, you got it.
-
(Ellyse groaning) (cameraman laughing)
-
- Glad I went first, and got that over with.
-
That was no joke. - Yeah.
-
- Are you ready to go?
-
- Yeah, I'm ready.
-
(timer counting down) - [Ellyse] Five, four, three,
-
two, and go. (rhythmic music)
-
(footsteps scuffling)
-
- [Q] I've never ran a mile before in my life.
-
Now, I gotta run two.
-
There's a shade ready.
-
Shade break.
-
(women talking)
-
- [Ellyse] Come on, sprint. Sprint.
-
(bell rings)
-
- [Ellyse] 14:44.
-
- I'm so tired. (cameraman laughs)
-
(Q breathing heavily)
-
What's the time?
-
- [Ellyse] 14:44.
-
- Did I miss it?
-
- [Ellyse] No, you got it.
-
- Let's go.
-
Army, here I come.
-
All right guys, so I'm officially done with
-
the US Army fitness test. I passed.
-
I passed the push-ups, passed the sit-ups,
-
and the two-mile run.
-
- And I missed it by seven seconds on the two-mile run.
-
So yeah, good luck Q.
