  • So the thing is, we need to look at what you would expect to be paid for a job and what you would settle for.

  • So expect meaning your ideal amount of money to do that job within reason and settle, meaning the minimum you would.

  • Except for that job.

  • Depending on the job, you might expect $700 a week.

  • You would settle for 500.

  • Look at the benefits as well.

  • There could be over time training holidays, travel expenses covered.

  • What would you expect and settle for?

  • So you need to be realistic when starting a new job.

  • Everyone has to start somewhere.

  • While you may not be making that much right now, there may be room to move upwards to a larger pay packet.

  • Make yourself a budget tonight and figure out where you would set your expectations and where you would settle that way, you'll always be prepared.

  • The thing to remember is going in and having a job always makes you more employable, so this could be on the way job that leads to the dream job.
