  • mhm losers of excuses.

  • Is it worth it?

  • Is it worth all the hard work?

  • Strong mindset will take you as far as you wanna go in life.

  • 27th of March, 2000 and 10.

  • I'll never forget it.

  • So you should think about that's birthday.

  • I can't lose here.

  • It's gonna be there.

  • Everyone's gonna be there and need to put on a clinic because at that time, everyone was saying they were the best fight in the UK But then obviously he'd stopped me.

  • So I'm like a member member.

  • Liamine that good?

  • Maybe he's just being found out here.

  • So then I was thinking I've just been found out.

  • I'll shut These was being found out.

  • So I was like fighting against myself, my own demons.

  • I had to stay mentally strong to show that our more than that.

  • And then in the first fight, I sat down after round.

  • One of my leg was in agony and by the end of around five of him, still kicking out fight in the rematch, I couldn't feel a thing still, but my mindset was saw mentally strong.

  • Then I think he could have hit me with an iron bar in that fighting, I wonder.

  • Felt it After the fight, the ambulance had to come and take me to hospital, passed out in the after party and I got to hospital staying overnight and a really bad concussion on That was how hard he hit me in around four.

  • But I was in such a mental focus that he didn't even have any effect of after the fight.

  • If you want to be the best day, you've got to be obsessed by it.

  • You got toe, give your life, you got to live it.

  • You got to breathe it, willing to go that extra mile just where certain people are willing to go.

  • Anyone can come in a gym and keep the pods and spar and do this, but when they're tired, it depends.

  • Are they willing to do it around?

  • They're gonna get back on the pods afterwards when you can't breathe anymore.

  • You know, you've been hurt to the body in the middle of around 10.

  • A sparring.

  • A fresh appointment comes in and they're gonna get out.

  • Are you going to stay in and you're gonna keep going?

  • So obsession is massively important.

  • And if you're not just fighting just in any walk of life where you want to be successful.

  • I just used toe get in there.

  • So I used to love it, usedto walk around school and playground, just daydreaming about when the next fight, where I'll be sat in class, not paying any attention whatsoever.

  • All I could think about was getting out, going to the gym, and eventually I started on the dinner hour running from my school up to the gym, doing some quick pads of Richard and then running back to school.

  • And that was like my my dinner and stuff like that.

  • So I was obsessed by the spot, and I was obsessed with fire in when I walk through this door, I did not want to just fight to, like, turn up to fights and make up the numbers or anything.

  • I wanted to be a champion, and that was that.

  • Andi.

  • I'd always stayed behind afterwards, and after the class, I got in the bag upstairs on my own.

  • I used to use my Did you come with those recorder and stuff and just fill myself to make sure I thought my stance were okay and stuff like that, And that's like, I think, sort of mentality that takes you from being just a fighter to a champion.

  • I had my first fight at 14 e.

  • No one ever questions because I looked quite old for my age and eso I got away of it then.

  • But I ended up with, like, fighting men.

  • So I was like 14 fighting men.

  • I think when I was 15 or 4 2028 year old I think you are.

  • I knocked him our did.

  • Never, ever used to cross my mind that I will fight in a fully grown man all the way, which, like this is the fight, and I loved it.

  • It was after my 29th, my 30 year fight.

  • I went 29 fights on being my 30 year fight.

  • I fought, I jump in and he was like elite level top top level.

  • I never fought anyone that good.

  • I was 18 and in round two.

  • I'm not this guy down the left hook, and it's far he's just saying is every other fighter.

  • I'll finish him off now and that's that.

  • I went in to finish him off.

  • He survived around And then he got opening around 34 and five.

  • He destroyed me, and I mean, he just wiped the floor.

  • May I remember When I dropped him in the left hook, his eyes rolled into his head, and then he came back up and he started smiling at me and he didn't have a gun shield in and had blood all over his teeth for this guy's crazy and he just absolutely destroyed me.

  • But me and I remember after the fight, I was thinking right, If I want to fight these guys, I need to be able to know how they fight as well as our I fight.

  • And if I could mix both the styles together.

  • I just said I was seeing a girl for the time as well.

  • I've been seeing her for three years.

  • I just went on when I'm sorry it's over.

  • I must live in Thailand on that.

  • She was devastated, and I said, a moment to moment off.

  • I went on the 15th of December before Christmas, so everyone mad at me for ruining Christmas.

  • But I said this.

  • That said, I can't have this in my head over Christmas because me I'm just gonna go.

  • I need to, like, go out there and make sure that and see if I can live at that level.

  • I don't wanna be like the nearly guy I said.

  • I want to get that level on.

  • I wanna be the one that get in the ring knowing I'm gonna win at that level.

  • I don't wanna be fighting these guys thinking, um, I good enough or not I want to get in there.

  • And so I just went out to Thailand and led to fight their way.

  • And I probably about 15 fight center of its special two years.

  • So I was fighting, Really?

  • Like you learned had to my best best experience in your life and some it worst.

  • Oh, yeah.

  • Getting out of your comfort zone is massively important again.

  • That comes down to the same thing as obsession.

  • I think you can't just be comfortable in what you're doing.

  • You need to be out of your comfort zone like training.

  • You need to be in six or to eight weeks out of your comfort zone.

  • Otherwise, when you fight is gonna be healthier.

  • I said before, I don't wanna be like a big fish in a small pond.

  • I wanted to go over there and I went to a gym called Ji Jim and it had a lot of Thai champions and at the time and top level guys, so I wanted toe live like they did.

  • I wanted to train all they did.

  • And for the first, like, 34 weeks until I got used to it.

  • It will help.

  • I was living on a mattress on the floor.

  • They have been fighting every 34 weeks, But yeah, it was He got tougher at some points because I was out there fighting for money as well.

  • I was only 18 when I went.

  • I'm not too much money saved up from bodies, A bit banged up.

  • I'm injured.

  • DeMaria to fight.

  • So that's what I did.

  • I just used to fight a zoo, often as I could as regular as I could.

  • There's a big gambling culture in Thailand, so if I had a big fight out there, they're probably gonna get some money, gambled on it.

  • They're gonna be back in.

  • So if they fought, I want in top ship was possible, then they wouldn't met with me in the ship.

  • I mean, like they love me will put six running and I'll be the last one out the gym at 6 p.m. At night and then make sure that our on point, like I said, I was there for money and I said, Right, I'm gonna bet on myself.

  • So if I didn't win, I had no money.

  • So I had to win.

  • E had to win.

  • But one time I bet on myself and the whole gym bet on me and I lost, and I'd bet all my rent money on myself and everything, and I lost the fight.

  • And then three days later, I was banged up badly and he said, Look, you ain't got no money we're gonna do is I'm gonna fight again.

  • So three days later, I got flowing down and pull, kept one of the islands and had to fight again for me rent money.

  • I won that fight by knockout in round free, and I pay my rent for two months then, but you have to fight three days after having a really hard fight.

  • I lost one point and it to go down there enough to do it again three days later was not nice.

  • Mhm.

  • My fear.

  • Is that the time war thinking I wasn't as good as I thought.

  • So that's why I wanted to go and put myself right out to face my fears, had to go to Thailand and train with these guys and fight them in Thailand mix.

  • I thought maybe I'm not as good as I think.

  • E thought was only one way to find out.

  • Go over there and then I just have to fight them every time after training them every day.

  • By doing that, that brought me up to the next level.

  • These guys over in Thailand, they've all been doing it since six years old.

  • It's second nature to them, so I'm trying to catch him up.

  • So if I've got that means staying late when everyone else is eating dinner, that's what we're willing to.

  • Dio went out there and I faced my fears, but look where he's got me now.

  • It was like the end goal of all that was always more important than any fear that I ever felt e.

  • You can sit around and wait for stuff to happen.

  • We can get out there and make things happen, and that is massively important in any walk of life.

  • It don't matter who you are or what you do.

  • You've got to get after it.

  • You've got to chase it.

  • You've got to make it up in yourself because no, it's gonna get gifted to you.

  • You're gonna have to work for it.

  • And those people who are working and those people who are you grinding?

  • And they are going the extra hour doing the extra mile?

  • They're the ones who are gonna be at the top loses, always have an excuse.

  • Everyone feels pain.

  • There's no, like personal.

  • There was a Terminator.

  • Everyone does.

  • You just have to deal with the pain.

  • That's what makes it different.

  • Strong mindset will take your asses faras.

  • You wanna go in life a strong mindset and willing to go that extra mile and obsession.

  • That's a good one that comes with success.

  • Being obsessed with whatever you're doing will bring you success.

  • Everyone wants success.

  • You have to do the hard work.

  • Some people try and find a shortcut.

  • We should never wanna try and find a shock.

  • Hard work should always be like the the main thing and you should enjoy how hard you've gotta workers.

  • Well, to get there because it just makes it that much sweeter.

  • In the end, I don't believe your mind, your strongest weapon and your body will your mind will give up before your body along ever does.

  • You just need to tell yourself it worked like David Goggins and people that look what they do with their their body and it's their mind that's making do it.

  • But it all comes down to Is the juice worth the squeeze?

  • And is it worth putting everything else back in?

  • Um, are you gonna quit and let that be like that?

  • Obviously, as I got older and my friends were going out and stuff, I've had to miss a lot of things like parties and nights out and stuff like that.

  • But I wouldn't change it for the world.

  • You know, you could go out on the piss anytime you put life for the life of lead in the experiences I've had and stuff like that, I would not change a thing.

  • I have sacrificed a lot and I probably missed out on a lot, but I've gained a lot more.

  • Is it worth.

  • It is the end goal worth all the hard work that you're putting through?

  • Is it worth dragging yourself out of bed when your body is in pain?

  • Is it worth getting in their inspiring with some guy who was probably a lot better than you?

  • But you're trying to better yourself.

  • Is it worth around five when you're exhausted and there's 30 seconds left in the fights?

  • Even is it worth pushing yourself that little bit extra?

  • Is it worth doing bringing an extra mile?

  • Is it worth getting 16 morning doing Hill sprints?

  • Is it worth it?

  • And the answer will always be for me.

  • Yes, Thanks for watching guys.

  • The full interview is now live, and you can also see the behind the scenes of how this was made.
