Good morning guys!
-
it is 7am in the morning and I'm
-
at Asakusa station and today I'm going
-
on a trip with Simon and Martina and
-
we're going to the Aizu area in Fukushima-ken
-
and I'm really excited because if
-
you guys have watched my previous videos
-
I was there in the spring and it's
-
absolutely gorgeous and I'm really happy
-
to be able to see in this Fall this time
-
so let's go inside and buy some tickets
-
and let's go!
-
So for a little over 7000 yen, you get a 4 day unlimited pass
-
for access between Asakusa and the Aizu area
-
So you can get on and off the train as many times as you like
-
and you can visit all the different
-
stops in those areas
-
it's an amazingly great deal if you want
-
to visit several different areas of Japan
-
and you have a limited amount of time
-
Look at the rooms! Little private rooms
-
The private rooms on this train were really nice
-
The could fit 4 people, so it was perfect for our little group
-
And we could shut the door
-
and have our own completely private space
-
where we could just sit back and relax and enjoy the view
-
Another cool thing about this train is that they had free Wi-Fi access
-
Which is great if you're on a long trip and you need to access email and stuff
-
All right, we're going outside to our first stop now!
-
Looks like quite a nice mountainous area
-
Oooo it's nice and chilly!
-
I like this place already
-
You know that it's starting to get cool in Japan when they start selling the hot drinks
-
I love these. Hey, they have oshiruko!
-
The air is so nice, it's such a nice change from Tokyo
-
It feels so fresh and clean
-
This place is gorgeous!
-
Yesss I'm so happy to be back here
-
This is my first time at this particular station
-
It's really nice. It looks like there's not too much in the area
-
pretty much surrounded by mountains, but it's really beautiful
-
Oh I see the foot bath!
-
there's a little box here where you can put your shoes, take your shoes off here
-
it's an onsen so it's naturally warm
-
Oooo yeah
-
I guess we could put our hands in
-
This is some hot water
-
Oh it's really hot!!
-
Wow
-
We're gonna explore the town a little bit now
-
we got some time before we gotta catch the next train
-
it's a cute little town they've got lots of shops here
-
This looks like a coffee and ice cream shop
-
Here we have soba, it looks like Japanese food
-
A wild Martina appears!
-
what are they cooking? "attaka manjyuu"
-
Ohh they're making manjyuu!
-
Mmm they smell really good
-
here we go guys, getting back on the train
-
Aw it's the Fukushima mascot, the little red dog
-
Those are some creepy buldings
-
It's time for lunch guys!
-
I have a matsutake bento
-
Matsutake are a very expensive mushroom
-
I've never eaten one before, but they can go for $100 for one mushroom
-
So they're probably pretty damn good
-
That is so good
-
There's a pretty shot coming up
-
So the train's gonna slow down so we can get nice shots from the train
-
SO beautiful
-
I wanna go swimming in there!
-
Apparently there are only two stations
-
in Japan that have a straw roof like this
-
Not sure where the other one is, but one of them is Yunokami Onsen Station
-
We're getting on the Hirota Taxi Bus next, and we're gonna go for soba!
-
Aww it's so cute
-
So they have some fresh amazake here, I'm pretty excited
-
It's nice, it's so cold here!
-
Well not ~so~ cold but it's a lot colder than Tokyo
-
so this warm amazake is just perfect
-
This area is so cute, look at all these old shops!
-
Selling souvenirs and foods
-
such a cute little town
-
I love the little vegetables
-
Aww this one reminds me of Totoro
-
I want one~ these ones are so cute!!
-
Ooo this looks neat!
-
I think this way looks the most interesting!
-
Great view of the town from here
-
You can see it all! Wow~
-
it's time to get some food
-
I heard they have some interesting soba and mochi inside here
-
So that's what we're gonna eat
-
This is the best mochi I've ever had in my life
-
SO GOOD
-
It's so soft!
-
It's so cute!!
-
we've arrived at Aizu Wakamatsu
-
This is where we're staying tonight
-
No pressure! Here we go
-
Oh it's almost perfect
-
WOW nice job
-
good job
-
A jerb well done
-
Thank you~
-
do you remember the akabeko from my videos before?
-
The sun is just starting to set and we're gonna go to the hotel now!
-
Time for some food and onsen and sake
-
Look at our taxi to the hotel!
-
Are your suitcases okay back there?
-
Yep they're fine!
-
Whaaat I've never been in a taxi like this
-
Is this karaoke?
-
That would be awesome
-
We're here!
-
This little town is so nice!
-
This is our ryokan, I've never been to this one
-
It's pretty chilly up in this area of Japan
-
so I'm going to start the night off with a nice warm bath
-
these are private baths, so you can rent them to just use for yourself
-
nobody's around which is awesome if you're kind of shy
-
to go in the public baths like I am
-
or if you have tattoos
-
This is also another way that you can get to use the baths
-
Many of the publc baths will not allow you in if you have tattoos
-
this is so nice, check it out!
-
You've got your own private room to relax in
-
Tea, shampoo
-
And then over here...
-
your own private bath
-
That's so cool!!
-
Check out the view guys, the river is right down below there
-
Wow, this is really nice
-
the room also had a fan that you can use
-
for when you get out of the bath because you're gonna feel super hot
-
It's nice that they had that to cool down while you're fixing your hair and stuff
-
they also had a CD player which I thought was really neat, they thought of everything
-
one of the funnest parts about Japanese hotels
-
is you can rent yukata to wear while you're staying there
-
And look at the selection they had!
-
They had so many patterns and colors it was so much choosing which one to wear
-
I'll go with this one, please!
-
Hmm I wonder which one is better...
-
I think a bright colour will suit you better
-
Ok I'll go with that one!
-
Aw you look cute!
-
I think it's that way
-
I wonder if everyone is inside already
-
Wow, fancy!
-
Thank you!
-
welcome to the best the most delicious
-
japanese hotel dinner that I have ever had
-
they made me a special vegan version and
-
it was just so freakin delicious so many
-
different little dishes to try it was
-
just like a little taste of everything
-
there must have been 15 different dishes
-
I was so amazed by the selection and the
-
presentation was beautiful! I have
-
absolutely nothing bad to say about the
-
food at this hotel
-
I was so impressed like over-the-top
-
impressed! I really really want to go back!
-
Did you finish all the sake?
-
We're allowed to bring it to the karaoke room, they gave us special permission!
-
yeah we're gonna finish up the night there
-
Who are you gonna sing?
-
usually think eminem and some other rap
-
So this is the end of part 1
-
stay tuned for part 2 which will be
-
released soon in the meantime head over
-
to Simon and Martina's channel, they covered
-
some of the amazing parts of our trip
-
that i didn't mention here so you don't
-
want to miss those! Thanks for watching guys! Bye!
