  • Hey Guys, this is everyone's favorite frosting.

  • It's that frosting that goes so well with Red Velvet Cupcakes, Pumpkin bread, or even

  • Carrot Cake!

  • It's the cream cheese frosting and it's so easy to make.

  • Today I'm going to show you how so let's get started.

  • You're going to need 8 ounces of softened cream cheese, I left mine out at room temperature

  • for about an hour, 2 ounces of unsalted butter, room temperature, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract,

  • and about 2 cups of powered sugar, and a pinch of salt.

  • When I'm making frosting, I tend to like to use my paddle attachment more than the whisk

  • attachment just because I think that it beats it more smoothly and I get better results.

  • First, in your mixing bowl, add your cream cheese and butter and mix it on medium speed

  • until it's nice and fluffy.

  • You want to beat it for about two minutes for it to get this way.

  • Then add in your vanilla and continue beating it for about a minute.

  • Finally slowly add in your pinch of salt, and gradually add in your powdered sugar,

  • and continue beating it until everything's mixed together.

  • And there you have it, your tangy, sweet, delicious cream cheese frosting.
