during this quarantine and this time?

the most impactful,

most waking-up time

that I've ever experienced in my lifetime.

I feel like there's this -- an amazing reckoning happening

on every level.

And while, you know, it can feel at times very different

or uncomfortable, I think it's just --

We have an opportunity here, you know, that has --
-
Between COVID and between everything that's going on
-
with the amplification of Black Lives Matter,
-
like, we have such an incredible opportunity
-
to make big changes in the way that we live,
-
both in small ways at home with our kids, within our four walls,
-
and out in the world.
-
So, you know, if you had caught me last week,
-
I was feeling a little more overwhelmed.
-
And this week, I feel really optimistic.
-

You know, the fun thing about my show

is I get to talk to people all day long,

and I'm just always learning, you know, something.

But the conversations have become a bit more serious

compared to what I'm used to.

and how we can keep the momentum going and not stop.

-What instrument are you more towards now?

-Right now, I'd say I'm playing guitar the most.

for a while.

And then I started doing guitar lessons again.

where you go, I get to hang out with my kids all day long.

I think this will be a really indelible time in their lives

but even this, I'm, like, seeing them grow.

Every single day, it's something different.

I'm like, "Dude, do you know what I lost?"

And I'm not even kidding. I'm not making this up.

I always liked the song "Let It Go," Idina Menzel,

I got it. We made a bunch of jokes about it,

because everyone was listening it to it.

I understand, but my kids weren't really into "Frozen,"

and then, they're into it right now.

-Wow. -And I love that song.

And I'll tell you why, because we went to --

I said, "Let's go get ice cream" the other day.
-
So I got on the mask, and we're getting in the car,
-
and they wanted to hear "Frozen,"
-
and they were both screaming, singing it
-
at the top of their lungs.

They're 5 and 6. It's so cute,
-
like, ♪ Let it go ♪
-
and they're doing the whole thing, modulating.
-
And then I get to the ice cream place,
-
and I forgot masks for the kids.
-
-Oh, no.
-
-And I look at them, I'm like, "You guys didn't --
-
Right, why would you -- You didn't bring masks, right?

Alright, let's go back home. We'll go get masks.

Then we'll get ice cream."

And they just ♪ Let it go ♪

you know, all the way.

-So that's where your full-on dad move actually paid off,

because you got quadruple "Frozen."

People were like, "That guy knows how to party."

Don't even tell me she's turning 16,

-Did she have one of those cars when she was a kid,

And I'm an awful driver.

I think it's good for them to learn early.

One time, we were on a resort in a golf cart,

and I let her sit on my lap and steer and stuff like that.

So she's been illegally operating motor vehicles

all her life. -Yeah, that's what kids do.

-So, you know, she's ready to roll.

-Wow. So she's on the streets,

and she knows all the rules and everything?

And does she know how to park and everything?

-She knows everything. She's really good, really good.

I feel very confident about her driving.
