The bridge was being sealed off on.

-
Emergency services are at the scene.
-
We can show you some off the latest images sent into us now by someone who works nearby.
-
They show people running across the bridge in panic.
-
As you might expect.
-
Reuters, a reputable news agency, is saying that they understand that somebody has Bean stabbed in the area on that Police have, as Andy More, our correspondent was saying, have detained a suspect.
-
Other reports are suggesting they have shot a suspect.
-
Let's talk now to someone who is in the area.
-
Thomas Dunford.
-
Thanks so much for joining us here on BBC news at Mr Dunford.
-
What can you see at the moment?
-
Well, we've just been moved.
-
So I was on 55 King William Street, which overlooks the bridge.
-
So I saw two bodies get dragged from the bridge.
-
One guy was getting resuscitated, but my understanding, I think, passed away a sheet over him.
-
But you know that right from the building just down toward our bridge on.
-
Then I just seen five on the territory.
-
Will ban uh, June part.
-
It's worth therefore rewinding.
-
We understand this incident started to involved unfold just before two o'clock this afternoon local time here in London.
-
Where were you at that point?
-
At that point, I was in my office.
-
I saw ever been outside my office in terms of the peace plan.
-
Then I saw the bodies get checked out to on police.
-
Running towards London was done on, I think Brit Brit.
-
Sure we had gunshots, right?
-
Because I was going to ask you what?
-
What you thought you might have heard?
-
We did speak to another eyewitness a little earlier Who thought that they had heard as many as seven or eight shots?
-
Does that sound similar to your experience?
-
Way?
-
Yes.
-
On then emergency services Very quickly on the scene.
-
We know.
-
The London Ambulance Service has declared a major incident on and people ushered off the bridge very quickly.
-
What was the mood like, where people fairly calm Or, uh what people Rather more panicking, Uh, panicky.
-
I mean, those people in the cafe, off farm, a jays and a first aid closed all the doors within the peace, open the doors and made everybody sort of spring cow.
-
I'm all at once was very panicky, but by well, they got everybody out of the area pretty quick.
-
Thomas, we're looking as you speak at a new image that you've sent into us, which I assume you filmed on your phone.
-
Can you just exact explain to us exactly where that is in relation to the bridge from that image?
-
If you were to go to the left, that London bridge.
-
Right.
-
So that's pretty much looking at the end of month.
-
And when did you take this photograph?
-
When did you take this film?
-
Um And so if you were to look at the scene now, does it still look like that?
-
I've been Usher have been evacuated from the from the area now, so I'm now about average, right?
-
Yes.
-
You said on when you say you were ushered away from the area.
-
What was that by the police?
-
And if so, what did they say to you?
-
So they communicated with the receptionist downstairs in my office to get a bus that we needed to evacuate the building.
-
And then we got down sprint, right?
-
Okay, well, look, it must be it must be Roll the frightening Do stay in touch with this.
-
But for now, Thomas dumping.
-
Thanks so much for getting in touch with us.
-
Let's talk now to Mike King.
-
No, let's talk in the Meanwhile, we wait to talk to my king, who I also think is in the area.
-
Let's bring in our correspondent Andy Moore, who is sitting with me watching these pictures onder keeping abreast of any developments.
-
What are you seeing in hearing Andy?
-
So, first of all, the official information for the Metropolitan Police, it's worth repeating.
-
They were called to an incident a 1 58 They said it involved a stabbing.
-
They say several people have been injured and they talk about a man being detained London Ambulance service, saying they've declared a major incident.
-
So I'm looking through lots of eyewitness video from from the scene now I'm looking at some some other video, which shows what appears to be a member of the public.
-
As I said, Somebody in civilian clothes.
-
For all we know, it may be a police officer who who's in civilian clothes.
-
We just don't know, but appears to be a member of the public, wrestling with a man on the floor.
-
The men on the floor appears to be dressed in black clothes, appears to be bearded.
-
The member of the public who's who's wrestling with him is pulled off on.
-
Then the police fire a number of shots, so it is worth remembering.
-
Here we go.
-
Sorry, Weaken.
-
See some of that of video now exactly what I was talking about.
-
So I mean, it was our correspondent John McManus, who said it appeared to be a fight.
-
We can see the member of public being pulled off.
-
Then it's just after this that the man is shot and then you can see Yes, we're seeing it again.
-
So that member the public see there is being pulled off.
-
Men on the ground of them were not showing, obviously the moment of shooting.
-
But then the man is shot on disabled.
-
And after that it's interesting that the armed police stand back some distance.
-
They don't administer any first aid to the men on the ground.
-
They're obviously concerned that there may be explosives on the man.
-
There may be some further danger.
-
This hasn't officially being declared a terrorist incident, but it's worth remembering.
-
This is on London Bridge.
-
The scene of the terrorist incident in 2017 which involved stabbings, which involved the terrorists being shot, said there are some elements that are certainly similar.
-
Okay, Andy more.
