  • what to do.

  • Wars.

  • Very, very excited.

  • It's always tell me year were you get an opportunity to compete, you know, for a championship.

  • And, uh, like the most exciting part about it is going through like, tough times, going to like the ground days going through the 33 games of 49 10.

  • Um, you know, just five games in seven nights because that's how you build character guys, how you do, you know, trusting each other.

  • Um, when things are going great, you got to come even closer together.

  • And that's my thing.

  • One of things that we were missing last year.

  • Um, and, you know, just with addition of obviously Ross.

  • But Taison, who is gonna be a huge piece of help Clint out Austin for four year the house for four year, Um, and just start, Did everybody that was returning.

  • It's gonna be exciting.

  • I'm very excited.

  • Not just myself.

  • I know just from him having a, you know, entire organization for 11 years that he had to kind of, you know, play for he just comes to an entire different chapter in his life to go out there and just play and don't have to stress and worry about the pressure of carrying an entire organization.

  • I'm excited for him, you know, I think the front office and coaches and teammates all excited.

  • So tomorrow is the beginning in journey to something great.

  • I mean, that's to go every year.

  • I think for every individual player, every team, every every organization, know all that good stuff for us is just putting putting the puzzle together.

  • You know, obviously we all know that long of a regular season, you know, is and it's gonna be a lot of ups and downs and all that good stuff.

  • But, uh, it's all sacrifice.

  • It's all knowing that, you know, is a big picture.

  • And things happen throughout the course of your throughout the course of the NBA season.

  • You just ah, you just try toe the weather, the storm and get past it and, uh, and focus on the bigger picture.

  • You're what we don't know yet.

  • Yes, figured out it think certain things happen throughout the course of the game that she just like, Okay, this is what's gonna happen.

  • And this is what's happening right now that should just ride with, you know, like if Russ got it going and Russ's on one of them games that we all seem for.

  • Guess what?

  • I'm a do.

  • Sit back and watch the show, you know, and vice versa.

  • And or Erick Erickson get it going and go go over 30 40 like that's just a part of basketball.

  • So you can't say sit here and say or Russia is gonna have the basketball for the first half and I'm gonna have the ball first.

  • No, it's things happen throughout the course of the game that you just flow with and go with it.

  • So, like I said, all of us in this locker room in his front offices has one goal in the nest on wind.

  • So however that happens is gonna happen.

  • And we're gonna, you know, like I said figured out?

  • Sure.

  • No, No, because I can play off the basketball, can catch and shoot.

  • Um, I can do things off the basketball can.

  • I could be on the wing.

  • I can be in a corner.

  • I can be wherever he needs me to be.

  • Vice versa, like aggressive played off the basketball where there's, you know, previously with myself for USA Basketball before Russ, you know, was ball dominant like like he had he's had to do.

  • He was playing off the ball.

  • U C L A.

  • And so he like mere basketball player.

  • You figure it out and you're going to get on the court and you do things necessary to win games.

  • And I saw that we are about Yeah, I think just Ah, just my voice like work ethic is always gonna be there.

  • Um, you know, my game is always gonna speak for itself with just, you know, building my guys up, building that confidence in each individual player to make them go out there.

  • Whatever that role there in be the best in their role, like that role that you're making get you a lot of money and provide for your family and and change your family's lives.

  • So be the best in that road.

  • We're trying to be anybody else, but that best player in your role and whether it's you know, Clinton, you know, every single day, you know, being on him and building that confidence in him.

  • And, you know, well, we've all seen where he started from and where he is now.

  • You know just and goes down the line.

  • And so even to my life.

  • Dame houses with his half of the year and just give him that confidence to go out there and just be who he is.

  • Like, you know, find your role, be great in it.

  • And that role is going to help our team gets what we want to go.

  • My cultures.

  • He's a reason very coast for this situation.

  • Uh, who wouldn't rather have any other coach?

  • Because he he knows how to deal with personalities.

  • And, like I said before, Coach gives me confidence and he gives Russ confidence.

  • But, you know, you hear that coach is supposed to do.

  • They're supposed to give their best players confidence.

  • What coach gives 1/14 and 15th where that same confidence that he gives me a rust and you don't find that often.

  • I don't care for the MBM covers college on Carver's high school like you don't find that that coach that gives that player confidence when you get in the game or this is when you cut checking in the game, be ready to go, you know, and this is what I need you to do out there and just do it to the best, the ability.

  • And I got your back.

  • Like he gives you that confidence to where you can go out there and just play free because most of time, you out there, you If I make one mistake, I'm gonna come out the game coach is gonna take me on like, not coach.

  • He gives you that confidence where if you make a mistake, So what's next?

  • This?

  • Get it back next possession.

  • And right there, that right there shows, you know, he's he's here for the long haul.

  • I mean, taboo, Pull it up herself.

  • He No, he came to Vegas and we had a training camp last week and we just guys lifted and worked out and the yoga and things like that.

  • Tebow came, came there on his own and made a roster spot for himself.

  • I've been notable, obviously, since I've been in the league myself in a rush, and he's always been that guy that worked extremely hard and obviously is a great defender.

  • Um, but he came and made that took that spider self, uh, as a guy like that, who wants to come to a championship caliber team and contribute.

  • I mean, uh, I'm excited for and I'm appreciative or what?

  • Say it again.

  • Oh, yeah, I'm excited.

  • I've never been in.

  • You know what?

  • You know, when I go overseas and go to different countries and things like that, I embrace it because, you know, they don't get an opportunity to see, you know, n b A players in NBA games.

  • Uh, obviously, as much as you know, states.

  • And so I had the opportunity to embrace my Japanese fans and show them how much I appreciate them because I don't come in contact with him a zoo, much as I would love to.

  • So it's gonna be exciting.

  • I'm excited.

  • The MBA is taking this game global.

  • We know how powerful this game is, and not only myself, but his entire organization.

  • They decided to take our organization to Japan and, ah, showcase our talents.

  • Extremely important.

  • Extremely important.

  • Um, his presence protecting that room, finishing around the basket, blocking shots, just doing everything garden guards.

  • When we switch on defense, everything that you know, he's a huge pieces.

  • I think every individual guys in this way is huge to what we're trying to go.

  • And so that's why that confidence needs to be built from tomorrow training camp and so forth and so on and every single day, just trying to find it, to figure it out.

  • Frustrated?

  • Why would I be frustrated, huh?

  • Honestly, like, I don't really care about what other teams are doing and how crazy that West is or the East is.

  • Or what's this?

  • Teams?

  • I don't care like what we have in his locker room is is good enough.

  • I had a little bit of politicians, and when Paul George left, that means rest was available.

  • Yeah, great.

  • No, I'll take or need.

  • I mean, we don't win.

  • I'll take all the blame for That's just what it is.

  • Coming comes with it.

  • You know, that's what you have to go out there and win.

  • And so that's why we worked extremely hard all season.

  • Two, Um, bring players in and bring whatever is necessary and for us to give ourselves a chance to win.

  • And that's all it is, like I know what's at stake.

  • I know you know, if we don't win James Harden and such, so I should get the credit where it doesn't get the credit for it or they're gonna talk down.

  • Or they're gonna create a narrative that whatever they want to create, like, say, my first rodeo.

  • Um, so that's why you have to work extremely hard not only just on the court, but off the court to make sure that the pieces was in line to help you out.

  • You There has been what, uh, years where we've accomplished a lot of individual accolades individually.

  • Now it's time that, you know, accomplish something together that we have accomplished before.

  • I've always had the voice, but just ah, I had to wait my turn like I've always had the voice in, Uh, when I when I got here, I started to use a little bit more.

  • Um, but show my work, I think a lot more.

  • And then he's food last for years.

  • Just been, uh, you know, out spoken.

  • But you know, each individual player, you have to find ways to hit their pressure point.

  • And some are different.

  • The others, you know, and I've learned that these last few years, like maybe I can go and yell at a guy and be in his face and he would take it.

  • Okay, I got to get better.

  • Beer, beer, beer.

  • It is only now or another guy is exactly or another guy You're not that dumb it down and talk a little bit.

  • Uh, you know, explain a little bit more talk a little.

  • Not so aggressive.

  • So it just different players have different personalities that you have to Ah, you have to learn.

  • You have to accept me for you know who they are.

  • And that's how you get the best out of your teammates.

  • So you, myself, myself.

  • But we you know, this team is ah, it's gonna be pretty pretty dope, man from rust PJ to Tyson toe.

  • Austin, I mean, are making the cause.

  • They are running away before the games.

  • It's gonna be a runway.

  • We have red carpet with them using.

  • We'll have the whole, you know, how would not yard?

  • So be ready for it.

  • I Yeah, course.

  • Yeah, that's that's one of my goals.

  • You know, this year didn't have had opportunity, but was just tied up so many different things.

  • But of course, it's one of my goes to represent the USA and represent this beautiful country in the games.

  • You can just see the instant like his voice like we're in Vegas.

  • Like, even when he wasn't on the court playing and he was on a side like he was talking like he was helping the team pickerel coming weeks, I hope talk, but point different guys out, helping them on what they need to know to be doing in order to be successful.

  • So his voice automatically is going change o r team and, uh, you know, and then obviously on his play on the quarters will help us.

  • We will, but just him Clinton having somebody that has been through it, as has it has a championship, that kind of place.

  • Similar to what?

  • You know how Clinton plays.

  • It's gonna be great for Clinton, and it's gonna be great for entire team.

  • So we're excited to have Tyson.

  • And, like I said they wanted tomorrow, you're, um Armory day with Kobe.

  • It was It was, ah, just coming from from being himself.

  • Has this don't like somebody that I realized that I just grow watching?

  • Um, he did it his way, Did it for a very, very long time at the highest level.

  • And we all witnessed that we all win is how great he was.

  • So just, you know, coming from him is Ah, it's pretty cool.

  • I've always expected it just, ah, opportunity.

  • And the opportunity came when, you know, put this rocket jersey on it.

  • I don't look back since Thanks.
