- All right, a "Sesame Street" memory?
-
I remember watching Oscar,
-
this is so many years ago when I used to watch the show,
-
when I was a little, little kid,
-
I don't think I've seen this episode since
-
but it's just stuck in my memory.
-
Oscar started an ice cream stand.
-
- I like to eat things like ice cream with sardines on it
-
and maybe a little cold gravy.
-
(laughs)
-
- And everyone wanted him to serve strawberry ice cream
-
but he didn't want to, he wanted to serve,
-
I remember it being spaghetti and meatballs ice cream.
-
I don't know if it really was that,
-
but that's what I remember.
-
And I think it taught me something,
-
that you should be your own person,
-
even if other people think that you're a grouch
-
or that you're weird,
-
or that your flavor of ice cream
-
isn't the flavor of ice cream that they want,
-
you should serve what you wanna serve.
-
And, I always admired Oscar for that.
-
- Yeah, I like to have broccoli on my ice cream.
-
(laughs)
-
- Happy 50th anniversary to my favorite show of all time,
-
"Sesame Street."
