  • The massive food fight dates back to 1945, and an apparently spontaneuos bust-up between

  • This reveller said "It was a pretty intense experience - tomato, war, madness, it was

  • out of control.

  • It was good, really fun.

  • It's my first time in the Tomatina and it was good, I will come back."

  • And he's not the only one; at it's peak, the 'Tomatina' attracted around 45,000 people,

  • though today it's a ticketed event with only 22,000 places.

  • This year's food fight was completely sold out, but just how many people will stick around

Take 20,000 people, add 150,000 kilos of tomatoes, and this is what you get.
